Mother and Stella Artois commissioned famed aural and robotic sculptor, Andy Cavatorta (coming off of designing instruments for Bjork) to design four bespoke instrument using the iconic Stella Chalice as inspiration. Each instrument gave homage to a unique element of the Chalice.
When the instruments were done, we invited the Cold War Kids to come check them out and take digital recordings of their sounds back to the studio with them, where they wrote and recorded a new song utilizing them.
The Cold War Kids launched the song, "A Million Eyes," on Spotify and Youtube. They also performed the song at an event for influencers in the Lower East Side where guests were surrounded by the instruments in a gallery setting.
